Who backs the development of this wiki, and who sponsors it.
The Spielkarten-Wiki is a voluntary, non-commercial project. It grows out of the work of collectors — and it costs money: server, storage, tools. This page names who contributes to that.
Sponsors support the development of the wiki. They have no influence on the selection or presentation of its content. This applies explicitly even where a sponsor itself appears in the wiki — as a maker, as a collection, or in the literature.

Piatnik is at the same time a subject covered by this wiki: entries for the firm and its locations in Vienna, Prague, Budapest and Kraków, its succession chains and literature references are recorded. Data others have shared with us
Not every contribution is money. A substantial part of the holdings rests on data that others have compiled and made available to us for reuse — namely the Geschichtliches Ortsverzeichnis (GOV) (historical gazetteer) of the Verein für Computergenealogie and the maker research of Wolfgang Altfahrt (mpcia.at).
