Redaktionsnotiz (Los G8, 2026-08-11): 1771 oder 1772? Die Quelle widerspricht sich selbst
Beide Sterbejahre tragen den Qualifier `strittig` = Quelle widerspricht sich selbst.
Wolfgang Altfahrt schreibt im Fließtext „(er starb 1772)" — und belegt das in derselben Zeile mit der Fußnote „Wiener Diarium, Nr. 44(1771), 1. 6. 1771 nennt den 28. Mai als Todestag" (Das seltsame Nachleben des Wiener Spielkartenmachers Leopold Keim, TALON 24/25/2015, S. 149). Eine Zeitung vom 1. Juni 1771 kann keinen Tod von 1772 melden.
Dieselbe Doppelung steht wortgleich in Wer noch? (TALON 33/2024, S. 144). Der Fall ist also nicht durch Nachlesen an einer zweiten Stelle zu klären; er braucht das Wiener Diarium selbst. Bis dahin stehen beide Jahre nebeneinander — dass keines bevorzugt ist, ist die Aussage.
